Regional Transportation Options

Picture of the High Bridge Train Station SignageLocated one mile east of State Route 31 and roughly two miles north of Interstate 78, High Bridge has excellent access to regional transportation. The High Bridge Train Station is the western terminus of New Jersey Transit’s Raritan Valley Line. Free, permit-based parking is offered in the NJ Transit lot on West Main Street. Passengers can take the train to Newark Penn Station and transfer to either the Northeast Corridor or North Jersey Coast Line, both of which travel to New York Penn Station.

Efforts are currently in place to push for a “one-seat ride” on the Raritan Valley Line, which would offer direct transportation to New York City without the need for commuters to transfer trains in Newark. For more details, visit www.raritanvalleyrail.com.

The Trans-Bridge Lines provide bus service seven days a week and can be picked up in nearby Union Township or Clinton. Buses travel to Newark Airport, the Port Authority Bus Terminal, and Kennedy Airport on a daily basis. Check the Trans-Bridge Lines website for specific schedules.

High Bridge is also served by the Hunterdon County LINK, which offers handicapped-accessible, on-demand bus service throughout the County. For information on the LINK or to schedule service, see the LINK website.
