275th Anniversary of Taylor-Wharton

The Borough of High Bridge appreciates the countless hours that numerous volunteers put forth to make this event a great success.
The festivities on Saturday, October 14th included a Street Fair along Main Street, a metal work display with the demonstration of smelting, and sand casting by artisans behind old Borough Hall, a Rosary Rally at St. Joseph’s RC Church, a parade along Main Street, a model railroad exhibit at the United Methodist Church and music, an address by Mayor Mark Desire and films featuring Taylor-Wharton and Custom Alloy at the Commons.
On Sunday, the event continued with a High Bridge History exhibit at the Reformed Church, an American Legion, Ladies Auxiliary and High Bridge High School Alumni exhibit at Host Masonic Lodge, railroad history guided walking tours and an open house at Solitude House with activities for children.
