The Mayor and Council approved the Redevelopment Plan for 100 West Main Street at their March 22, 2018 meeting. This document is a critical step in the Borough’s efforts to see the former Exact Level and Tool site improved after many years of deterioration. This Plan is an important component to the process initiated several years ago when this site was designated as an “area in need of redevelopment.”

The State of New Jersey permits municipalities to designate locations that have unique challenges. The Borough pursued this for  the property at 100 West Main Street, as an “area in need of redevelopment.” This selection, affirmed by the NJ Department of Community Affairs, will allow interested parties to propose a new use for the site that would help enhance and improve the area overall. This property of just over 4 acres, has not been used as a manufacturing location for over 30 years and is currently owned by the Estate of Peter P. Vaida, Inc.
