June 27, 2019 Borough of High Bridge

The High Bridge ambassador award is presented each year to individuals who represent and promote High Bridge and the exceptional quality of life of our people, to communities outside of wonderful little town. Typically, this is done through acts of service, kindness or philanthropy, thereby letting everyone know how special the people of High Bridge are.
The individual selected this year will not only be representing High Bridge to surrounding communities, but to our country and the world as he enters the next chapter of his life. His family has deep roots in High Bridge going back several generations. An example of this family’s service to our community is his father’s dedication as a member of the High Bridge Fire Department since his teenage years.
This year’s Ambassador Award recipient is Jared Crampton. Jared has decided to make a sacrifice of his time away from family and friends, to serve our great nation, in the United States Navy.
After graduating from Voorhees High School in June of 2018, Jared joined the US Navy. He left for Naval Station Great Lakes in December for boot camp, he graduated on February 6th, 2019 with a sharp-shooter ribbon. He then went on to Texas for Navy A-School where he graduated in June, on the Dean’s list as a hospital corpsman. He will be continuing his training back in San Antonio and awaiting orders as to where he will be stationed.
Jared will be bringing with him his values of family, community, volunteerism, and service High Bridge helped instill in him, to share with the world. The residents of High Bridge should feel proud and secure knowing Jared is representing, serving and protecting them.
Thank you for your service Jared, and Happy Birthday.
