Washington Avenue will be getting repaired, milled and paved tomorrow, September 5th through Friday, September 6th and again on Monday, September 9th.
Work will begin approximately 8:30 AM and will run until approximately 5:00 PM. Dates and times are subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances.
During this time there will be numerous traffic pattern changes and road closures. Please be patient and leave extra time for travel as traffic may be heavy at times. Also, please adhere to all traffic, detours and signals from construction workers. We ask for your cooperation in paying special attention as one of the construction workers was almost hit by a car on Wednesday evening due to a car driving around barricades. Barricades are placed for both public and site safety.
Any questions please call Borough Hall at 908-638-6455 or Rick Roll, Director of Public Works at 908-638-6588.
Milling work is scheduled on Washington Avenue beginning tomorrow, Sept. 4th and expected to last two days.
Please note the road will be closed between McDonald St. and Arch St. from 8:30am to 5pm 9/4 – 9/6. The pavement portion may begin as early as next week.
Plan alternate routes of travel and be mindful of rough terrain when traveling thru off hours.
