Notice of Construction Start
West Main Street Water Main Replacement Project – Phase II
Borough of High Bridge, Hunterdon County, New Jersey
Please be advised that the Borough has awarded a contract to Penn Bower Inc. of High Bridge, NJ to construct a new water main. The project limits will start at the intersection of Hillcrest Lane and West Main Street and extend to the intersection of Bridge Street and West Main Street.
The purpose of the memorandum is to advise you that Penn Bower, Inc., plans to commence work on the water main replacement on, or about, Tuesday, September 13, 2022, weather permitting.
Construction will be taking place Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, and the project is anticipated to last one (1) to three (3) weeks. During the construction, the roadway will be
closed to thru traffic. As with all construction projects, we urge residents to proceed with caution in areas of construction. The Borough and its contractor will make every effort to keep interruptions to a minimum and complete this project as quickly as possible; however, there may be nuisance-related instances of delays, noise from construction equipment, etc.
During the construction of the new water main, residents of West Main Street can expect a loss of water service for several hours on, Tuesday, September 13th, and while the contractor relocates the water service connection from the existing water main to the newly installed main. The contractor will coordinate with each resident during the day of service installations.
