The Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission holds an annual historic research contest for all fourth graders. Students are asked to research one historic place in their town and write a report. These reports are submitted to the County and judged by retired teachers. The winners are announced at the May Freeholders’ meeting which is held in the Historic County Courthouse.

We are proud to honor the following fourth grade students from the High Bridge Elementary School for their efforts to learn and share our rich local history. They have been recognized by the Hunterdon County Cultural and Heritage Commission as High Bridge ‘Mini Historians’ through their participation in the annual “Most Historic Place in My Town” essay contest.
