Arbor Day 2023 Dedication

Arbor Day, April 29, 2023:  Mayor Lee leads the dedication of a Norway Spruce tree planted by High Bridge DPW in Borough Commons for future Holiday Events. “Pennies for Planting” funds collected by High Bridge Elementary and Middle School students helped finance the project along with a donation from the Country Garden Club to commemorate Arbor Day in High Bridge.

The Environmental Commission will not be holding the yearly recycling event this year. Please take advantage of the recycling opportunities available at the DPW garage.

Elizabethtown Gas is surveying select streets in High Bridge for potential natural gas service. They must receive enough responses in order to extend natural gas service to these streets.

If you are located on one of the streets below and are interested in natural gas service, please fill out the online survey at www.surveymonkey.com/r/AnnandaleApr2023 by Monday, April 24th. If enough responses are received, Elizabethtown Gas will provide information on next steps after the survey period ends.

Planning Board Meeting Location and Date Change

The regularly scheduled in-person Planning Board Meeting previously scheduled for February 27, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at the Emergency Squad Building, 95 West Main street, High Bridge, NJ has been cancelled due to the potential inclement weather.

The aforementioned Planning Board meeting will now take place as an audio visual meeting via Zoom on March 6, 2023 at 7:30 pm.

Green team chair is not a traditional committee position that leads to Mayor, but High Bridge Borough Mayor Michele Lee served on the High Bridge Green Team and Environmental Commission before she was elected to mayor in 2019. Now re-elected for a second term, Mayor Lee is demonstrating that sustainability is good government.

At the Dec 15 Council Meeting, Officer Edward Schaffer was presented with a Life Saving Award for his actions in the line of duty.
